I N F O - I N T R O

There's no way of hiding. No hiding, running, no discreetly passing through a subject that is so present and so frequently approached. It is here, around and inside us, wrapping and choking us, imposing its omnipresence over us. I'm talking about information. Information. Information. Information. Information. More than once, more than twice, I shall repeat the word as much as needed, in order to call for its smothery presence.
Not long ago, I was reading an article that declared no more than what I already knew about us being totally immersed in a massively technological world that goes as far as ruling our social interactions (both virtual or physical), when I was struck by the feeling of anxiety that usually comes with the approach of this type of matters. The what-are-we-doing-to-our-lives feeling; the I-should-do-something-to-avoid-being-sucked-by-technology anxiety.
It's obviously risky to say "I despise this technological era", while facing a computer and writing on an online-platform, with a smartphone by my side. Thus, it is always difficult to find a word that perfectly expresses the right feeling towards this unavoidable immersion in the digital life. The internet's crushing extension can easily make us feel small and powerless. Since the 80s, it has been growing to become the most powerful dynamic container ever known in the millenary history of mankind. Suddenly, we do have access to anything we want, anywhere we want, anytime we want. Tons and tons of data is flowing in the abstract space-time, waiting for someone to notice its existence and make use of it.
So, how can we deal with all this amount of data? How can we know when and if we should access it? How do we know how much is too much? The feeling that these questions have been hunting me for a while is followed by the certainty that I already read them a countless number of times and they surely have been answered by dozens of people. And if so, this whole thing is nothing but totally unnecessary and irrelevant. Nevertheless, I will think about it and I will share it, throwing some more data into my so-long feared infosphere to be wandering uncommitedly.
